Nineplus Fall 2011/12 Wetsuits
Produced in Yamamoto Number 39 the Nineplus wetsuits for Fall 2011/12 have moved back towards the vintage style wetsuits as were being produced in 2008. This has been due to an overwhelming demand from customers that wanted a wetsuit that was extremely modern in terms of fit, comfort and weight while retaining the retro styling of a classic smooth-skin (single lined) wetsuit. The wetsuit has been upgraded to include various additional benefits although the secret of the Nineplus wetsuit is in the weight of the materials weighing in at just 1kg. The suits have a minimal water retention as the outside cannot soak in any water and the lining being a nylon will dry out in under 10 minutes when left to dry in the sun.
Welcome to the warm club.

We are a company that is committed to providing products for the sport that we all enjoy; surfing. Part of our offering are wetsuits which are warm and functional. During our time producing wetsuits we have found no rubber more superior than that of Yamamoto Corporation based in Japan whose neoprene we exclusively use in all our surfing suits.
While we do our best to produce wetsuits that remain supple and comfortable, one of the issues that can happen with a smooth-skin wetsuit is the neoprene can ‘Nick’ with contact with from sharp fingernails, sharp stones and other sharp items that can puncture the skin of the neoprene. The ironic situation is that if treated carefully a Yamamoto smooth skin suit will last longer than a conventional wetsuit but this will be down inevitably to your own care and control.
So with this in mind we would ask you to look after your wetsuit, treat it with care, love it and it will in turn love you back, keep you warm and comfortable and become your 2nd best friend, next to your surfboard. If there are any problems, we will always do our best to help you; although this will not include nicks in the smooth skin due to its delicacy. While you need to consider this aspect of owning a smooth-skin wetsuit it is worth noting the fact that it is because of this smooth-skin surface that the suit remains completely ‘wind resistant’ . In a conventional wetsuit produced in nylon, wind chill is the main reason your body gets cold as the water trapped in the material is cooled down by the air temperature and wind. Another benefit is our wetsuit absorbs 75% less water than a standard nylon wetsuit, keeping it warmer, lighter, and therefore more manoeuvrable. In our opinion its qualities far outweigh its delicacy, and in any case – should you not take great care of a potential best friend.
